Important Consideration

  • The Diaspora Visa does not automatically grant a work permit. If you want to work, you will need to go through the process of status transfer and additional work permits.
  • Demonstrating a familial connection to an Indonesian citizen is a vital requirement for diaspora visa approval.
  • The Diaspora Visa is single-entry and must be activated into a KITAS upon arrival.
  • After staying for a few years, the diaspora can apply for a KITAP or naturalization of citizenship process again (if desired).
