Process and Timeline

Document Consultation & Verification

The applicant must have KITAS/KITAP as the sponsor of the dependent visa application. Also include a passport with a validity period of ≥18 months, sponsorship letter, marriage certificate, proof of account with sponsorship funds (at least US$2,000). Estimated time: 2-3 working days.

Application for e-VITAS / VITAS

Submit documents via the e-visa portal or the Indonesian Embassy to apply for the visa. Estimated time: 7-14 working days.

Important Consideration

  • A dependent Visa does not authorize the recipient to work or engage in commercial activities in Indonesia.
  • A legally valid document, translated by a sworn translator, is required to prove the familial relationship.
  • After at least 3 years of consecutive stay, the Dependent KITAS can be upgraded to KITAP (Permanent Residence Permit).
